A little over a year ago the UPLIFTT blog was launched to an astonishing and humbling amount of love and support from the community. As some of you might recall, the Facebook page was created in 2010 as “I Want to See More Latinos in Film and TV”. Other pastures had to be tended to so the page was seldom active. However, once an amazing crew of people, just like you, decided to put a great deal of effort (including going out of pocket, investing hundreds of hours doing research, planning, scheduling, writing, moderating, outreaching, rebranding, etc.) behind our message of fair representation in the media, we have become a force to be reckoned with, with your blessing. Thank you.

UPLIFTT
We are a forward-thinking community based communication platform. Our mission: to change the way the broader population sees us and how we see ourselves: as three-dimensional human beings, not stereotypes.

We will help usher in the Latino New Wave through unapologetic advocacy, targeted marketing, artist development and most importantly, a more holistic representation of Latino talent in film, television, and theater. We will create movements to help our communities grow rich in education, arts, media, and business by joining forces with industry peers and with the support of the community.

That’s not all. We have other pages in support of more diversity in the media. Become a fan:
